Get to know Yumi
Yumi Ridsdale is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP). She graduated with Honours from the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy in Toronto.
After becoming a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP), Yumi continued her studies with several teachers. She learned Classical Chinese Herbal Medicine (Jing Fang) from Dr. Suzanne Robidoux, ancient Qigong-based acupuncture from Sifu Justin Ngui, and quantum-based integrative medicine from Sigong Stanley Ngui. She is also trained in Yokoyama-style holistic Qigong healing.
Yumi sees acupuncture and Chinese medicine as ways to guide the body back to balance or what Western medicine calls homeostasis. This return to harmony is the natural path to human health, connecting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life.
Her commitment to medicine grounded in natural laws has led her to practice holistically,
treating the body as a connected whole and viewing people as part of the Earth and the Universe.
In her free time, Yumi continues studying Chinese medicine and enjoys life with her two dogs, Tao and Phyn. She also loves reading, cooking, and walking in nature.
Acupuncture is the art of aligning your health with the universe.
